District Headlines & Features
Hello Snow Leopard Families!
I hope you are well! Our team and scholars have been hard at work this first semester and our first set of report cards for the year will be coming out February 22nd. As parents, we always want our scholars to do well and be where they need to be at grade level. I want to tell you your scholars are doing well! That may not mean they have a grade level equivalent grade, but in this COVID world, this means growth. Your students have made incredible growth this year, coming back from remote learning, quarantines and new social/emotional learning, I get to see it every day!
Sometimes, we have seen incredible growth in some areas and smaller growth in others and that is ok. Know that your Woodmont staff have provided strong interventions, worked hard to get back on track with our curriculum while trying to fill gaps that happened over the past few years.
When you get your report cards, celebrate those areas of growth, wherever they are. When we look back on this year, we can celebrate perseverance, flexibility, Plan B, C, D & E. and kindness. We can celebrate that they can do more than when they came and will continue to do more. Yes, we will continue to work on areas they may struggle, but they have shown they are more than up for the challenge.
You may see a 1,2,3 or 4 on their report card or a letter grade in middle school. Wherever they are, they deserve some kudos. As we climb out from under very unusual circumstances in education, there has been so much positive. So, when you get that report card, celebrate with your child and keep plugging away. Looking forward to a wonderful and productive 2nd semester!
