Federal Way High School boys' baseball team has placed third at the spring 2018 state tournament
The Federal Way High School boys’ baseball team has placed third at the spring 2018 state tournament! This effort is in direct support of Goal 3 of our Strategic Plan, active learners: engaged, empowered, critical thinkers.

Thomas Jefferson High School math team placed seventh in the nation at the 48th Annual Mu Alpha Theta National Math Contest
This summer, Thomas Jefferson High School scholars represented Federal Way in Buffalo, New York at the 48th annual Mu Alpha Theta National Math Contest. This weeklong event brought together the nation’s top high school math teams to compete in a series of individual and group tests.
Out of the 50 top teams that competed from across the nation, Thomas Jefferson finished seventh in the nation for the Overall
Sweepstakes Award. This year marks the 24th consecutive year that Thomas Jefferson has placed among the top 10 schools in the nation. Scholar Nick Kim was the national champion in Trigonometry.
This legacy of excellence is in direct support of the district’s strategic plan Goal 4, Content Area Competence: Mastery of All Subjects.

Community partners collect over 4,049 pounds of donated school supplies
We would like to thank other community partners for their generosity in helping collect over 4,049 pounds of donated school supplies including backpacks for the Fill the Canoe School Supply Drive.
This is in support of strategic plan goal 3 to help each scholar be an engaged, empowered, critical thinker.
