Get ready for STEAM Exploration Night

The annual FWPS STEAM Exploration Night, STEAM the Dream, will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Learn about all the ways you can participate!

Join us at STEAM Exploration Night, an evening that will spark STEAM curiosity towards a BRIGHT future!

Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) is proud to announce the annual STEAM Exploration Night will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Federal Way High School.

The annual STEM Exploration Night just received an upgrade and will now be known as STEAM Exploration Night – a much-anticipated improvement as we embrace the integral role of arts in fostering creativity and innovation within science, technology, engineering, and math. The inclusion of the “A” in STEAM highlights the importance of design thinking, visual creativity, and problem-solving skills – essential elements in today’s interdisciplinary world!

Join us and thousands of PreK-12th grade scholars to explore the many possibilities through STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). By attending this event, you'll be inspired to explore, prepare for, and launch into STEM opportunities, and ultimately, exciting STEM careers!

Plan your trip! View transportation options, including shuttle bus routes and parking information.

This year's scholar-voted theme is STEAM the Dream. At the event, we'll inspire a new generation of dreamers to explore endless possibilities in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), turning their aspirations into realities through collaboration and discovery! During the evening, you can check out booths, engaging and informative panel discussions, interactive activities, and more!

The event will spark STEAM curiosity in young students and provide further insight into career possibilities for our emerging leaders. Students of all grade levels will find what they need to exploreprepare, and launch into one of the many STEAM opportunities leading to high-demand careers in our region.

Did you know? By 2030, 87% of high-demand, family-sustaining jobs will require a postsecondary degree or credential, and 67% of those jobs will be STEM-related ¹. It is important for FWPS to provide scholars with the ability to explore opportunities in STEM, which is one of the many pathways to a BRIGHT future!
