Safe Arrival Program

Safety First

  • We recognize regular attendance is essential to the safety, academic success and well-being of all students. Because student safety is of utmost importance, parents need to be notified as soon as possible if their child has not arrived at school.

Safe Arrival Attendance Calls

  • Because safety is of utmost importance, the district uses automated messaging to alert parents and guardians if their child is not in school. Calls are also made to secondary students who are late or absent. If parents have notified their child’s school of the absence, the automated system will not contact them.

    Safe Arrival Morning Attendance Calls

Approximately an hour after the school start time, a morning attendance call will be placed to the primary phone number for the parent/guardian based on what's listed in the student information system (ParentVUE).

Families of students will receive a morning attendance call if their child's late arrival or whose absence has not been verified.

    Safe Arrival Evening Attendance Calls

In the evening, all parents and guardians of students in secondary schools who were late or absent will receive a call informing them of their child’s absence by period. These calls are scheduled for 5 p.m.
