Congratulations to the Federal Way Public Academy Knowledge Bowl team for placing 7th in the Washington State Knowledge Bowl Tournament for division – 2B.
The FWPA Knowledge Bowl team: Ho Yeung Chu, Owen Forsman, Winston Nguyen, Andrew Scott, Shay, Smith, and Odessa Von Ruden.
The Knowledge Bowl is a state competition where school teams of up to six students use fast-paced thinking and teamwork to answer questions about math, science, history, language skills, literature, music, and geography, plus things like current events.
Congratulations to scholars Jaylah Lara, Ciana Nolasco and Ally Phan from Decatur High School, and Andrew Luu and An Pham from Todd Beamer High School, for placing at the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) State Competition by competing with over 4,000 students and qualifying for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) competition.
DECA is a student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools around the globe.
Additionally, we would like to congratulate the Todd Beamer High School DECA Chapter for winning the Thrive Level recognition to send three scholars to the DECA Thrive Leadership Academy at ICDC.
