Congratulations to Jene Mulanga who was selected at the Puget Sound Educational Service District Regional High School Art Show for the Central Washington University Scholarship Award! 

The Annual High School Art Show Competition is open to students enrolled in grades 9-12 in the PSESD region. Artwork is judged on creativity, composition, and technique.

Faculty from the Department of Art and Design at Central selected Jene for a $2000 tuition waiver scholarship for her self-portrait "The beauty of texture".

Congratulations to the Air Force JROTC instructors and cadets of Todd Beamer and Federal Way High School have earned overall unit assessment scores of “Exceeds Standards” – the highest rating attainable during their evaluation.

The cadets performed exceptionally well and took great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals. These efforts support Goal 3 of the strategic plan: engaged, empowered, critical thinkers.

Congratulations to the Federal Way High School speech team for finishing 2nd at the state tournament! In addition, Liam Walter was the state champion and Chantal Boi placed 3^rd in Dramatic Interpretation, and Graciela Knudsen was the state champion in Informative Speaking.
