For the fourth year, FWPS School Board receives Board of Distinction award

Awarded by the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA), this is the fourth year in a row the Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) Board of Directors has been chosen as a Board of Distinction. This year, FWPS is one of 34 school districts who received the award. There are 295 school boards across Washington state that may choose to apply for the distinction.

Those selected are required to show a clear link between their leadership and closing gaps that impact student success. FWPS’ board of distinction application provided evidence and examples of how they positively impacted student success.
