Groundbreaking Ceremony

Join us as we celebrate the start of construction on the new Mirror Lake Elementary School! The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the school site (625 S. 314th Street, Federal Way, WA 98003) on June 11, 2019 from 3:15–4:15 p.m.. Scholars and their families are invited to see designs of the new facilities and help start a new chapter at our school.

Project overview

Mirror Lake Elementary School, which was built in 1956, is oldest elementary school in Federal Way Public Schools, and was ranked in the top 10 schools to be rebuilt by the Facilities Planning Committee. The new building will provide capacity for additional preschool and elementary scholars in support of Goal 1 of the Strategic Plan and the guiding principles of district facilities planning.
