Mission Statement
Federal Way Public Schools’ Instructional Technology department is taking transformational steps to align with our district's Strategic Plan, Vision for Excellence and Equity, and Theory of Action to ensure that ALL central office and leadership team members provide evidence-based, responsive, coordinated, and aligned systems of support to schools, staff, teachers, and most importantly ensure scholars have the desire to learn at high levels with academic supports to graduate college- and career- ready. Instructional Technology does this through the lens of support for staff via technology integration within curriculum with peer coaching and strong connections with school-based instructional lead teams; personalized learning defined as MTSS (Universally Designed Learning), project-based learning, STEAM integration into GVC and Summer/Saturday/After-School enrichment programs; SBGR into Practice and Grade Book Support; as well as professional development opportunities through online, hybrid and in-person experiences.
