School Based Health Centers
Federal Way Public Schools students have access to valuable health care services at two School Based Health Centers (SBHCs)
There are students who do not have easy access to health care, but the district is fortunate to have partners like HealthPoint who are addressing this long-standing equity gap by making services available on our school campuses.
HealthPoint is a community health center that provides high-quality, affordable care at 19 locations in King County.
This is the first SBHC in the district and it provide services in person and via telehealth. Services include:
- Immunizations
- Primary Care
- Mental Health Counseling
- Health Assessments and Education
- Sports Physicals
- Laboratory Services
- Acute Illness or Injury
The SBHC does not collect fees, and there is no out-of-pocket cost to students or families. The SBHC provides care to students even if they don’t have insurance or can’t pay.
