Dear Olympic View Families and Community,

Can you believe that we are already in the final stretch of the 2022-23 school year? This year has been full of learning, excitement, and growth! We appreciate your partnership as we work together to serve OLV scholars every day to ensure that they are learning at their highest level every day.

There is still so much to be excited about these last two months of the school year. Our theme for the year was building the understanding that the possibilities for our next generation are limitless and that every moment in the classroom and at school are meaningful opportunities for scholars to foster their brilliance into these outcomes. The month of May is a busy time as scholars prepare to show what they have learned in the testing season. Scholars in 3rd-5th grade will engage in the Smarter Balanced State Assessment (SBA), and all grade levels will engage in iReady assessments. We are working to build a culture around the understanding that this is an opportunity for scholars to celebrate their learning and show what they know! We ask for your continued partnership to ensure scholars get a good night’s rest and get to school on time. Breakfast is provided from 9:00-9:30 AM every day.

This is a particularly exciting time for Olympic View as we prepare to move into our brand-new building. We CANNOT WAIT to be back in the community and are so excited for the possibilities the new building will bring us. We have so much to celebrate and look forward to. The end of the year is always so bittersweet as we take the time to close out one chapter of school and prepare for the next; we hope that you embrace this time with us! I also wanted to let you know that I will be out on maternity leave from May 8-August 8. Jeff Soltez, an amazing veteran principal, will be my substitute during this time.
