Students will be tested on these new standards through a new testing system in 2017-2018 and although there are many alignments particularly in Mathematics, there are a number of shifts that will require rethinking how we approach instruction and assessment.

As 45 states have shifted to CCSS, numerous resources are readily available for teachers, parents and students to learn about the standards.
