• Send us your stories of students hard at work during the closure to jciotta@fwps.org.  Here are a few STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS!

Ms. Rohloff's 8th Grade Science class did a unit of study in Fields and Interaction, the focus was magnetic fields. Scholars researched a phenomena caused by magnetic and gravitational interactions and created a visual representation.  Two of her students produced impressive works of art.  Thank you Lianna and Atreyu!

When TAF@SGH 8th grade scholar, Isabella isn't competing in wrestling, whipping up recipes in cooking club or volunteering at her local library brank, she is busy excelling at the science, technology, engineering and math classes that have risen to become her favorite subjects as a middle school student.

      Isabella Arreola

She was chosen as Geekwires, "Junior Geek of the Month"  Please click on the link below for a great article on this rising star!

     Daniel Chung

Check out what TAF@SGH Junior, Daniel  has been up to during this quarantine! He learned to sew while he was involved in an afterschool club at TAF@Saghalie and is putting his skills to work!  Daniel has reached out to Council Members at the City of Federal Way and hopes to donate at least 100 masks to youth in FW!

    Student Work 2

Nate, TAF@SGH's impressive 9th grade scholar is performing some inorganic solutions chemistry at home (under the supervision of his parents, of course). In these photos, he is converting Copper (II) chloride solution into solid copper for safe disposal. Nate has taken advantage of his free time by doing other great lab experiments with bioluminescent bacteria, gel electrophoresis, and DNA extraction.
