Mission, Vision, and Beliefs
Mission:
The mission of Evergreen Middle School’s Counseling Program is to assist all scholars in their journey to become productive and responsible adults, to be lifelong learners through their academic development, personal and social growth, and career exploration. Our goal is to create a safe learning environment that celebrates diversity, individuality, acceptance, and a sense of belonging.
Vision:
The School Counselors will help provide an atmosphere of security, warmth, and encouragement as Evergreen Scholars work to reach their greatest educational potential in the areas of academic, career, and personal development. Our scholars will be equipped to graduate high school with the skills and knowledge to be career and college ready.
Beliefs:
- All scholars are unique, and worthy of dignity and respect.
- All scholars can learn and achieve academic greatness when encouraged and nurtured in a respectful environment.
- All scholars will have counseling services readily available.
- All scholars will have academic, social-emotional, and college/career readiness supports.
- All scholars will have the right to a quality education that educates the whole person and encourages scholars to be lifelong learners.
