• MISSION STATEMENT

    The TAF@Saghalie Counseling Department will respectfully guide all scholars towards successful academic, college/career, and socio-emotional development.  In partnership with other educators, parents/guardians and the community, we will facilitate the necessary support system for immediate and long term success.  Regardless of race, socioeconomic status, language and cultural background, all scholars will graduate ready for college, career and post-secondary experiences.  This will include the growth mindset to have emotional maturity, academic skills and a sense of social responsibility.

      

    Elizabeth Benitez

    Ms. Elizabeth Benitez:  TAF@SGHCounselor for Grades 8-12

    This is her 4th year as a school counselor in FWPS. She attended the University of Washington and has a bachelor in Sociology and Spanish minor. Ms. Benitez received her Master’s degree from City University of Seattle in Education with a focus in Guidance and Counseling. Ms. Benitez loves to travel, eat, and help students. Tambien hablo espanol!

    Christine Robinson  

    Ms. Christine Robinson:  TAF@SGH Counselor for Grades 6-7

    This is her 2nd year at TAF @ Saghalie and has been a school counselor for 7 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from The Evergreen State College and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Capella University. She started as a counselor substitute in Tacoma School District, was a school counselor in the Auburn school district for a year and this is her 5th year in the Federal Way School District. Mrs. Robinson played basketball at South Puget Sound Community college and The Evergreen State College. She is married and has two children.
