Safety Training
FWPS is enhancing emergency preparedness training for K–12 students throughout the district. In partnership with local law enforcement, we developed a training using the recommended strategies of “Run, Hide, Fight” in the event of an active assailant.
Grades K-2
For grades K-2, students will learn strategies of Run and Hide as guided by the teacher in a classroom lesson and discussion. This training will take place in January 2019, contact your school for the training date.
Grades 3-5
For grades 3-5, students will learn strategies of Run and Hide as guided by the teacher in a classroom lesson and discussion featuring a video. This training will take place in January 2019, contact your school for the training date.
Grades 6-12
For grades 6-12, students learn Run, Hide and Fight strategies as guided by the teacher in a classroom lesson and discussion featuring a video.

After you login, go to the “Student Info” menu tab on the left, and scroll down to view the “Emergency Preparedness Training” information. If you don’t have a ParentVUE account, please contact the school office manager. Also, Spanish translations of the content will be available in January 2019.
