Cultural Appreciation Series

WE ARE FWPS.

Celebrating Identity, Belonging, and Student Voice Across FWPS.

Federal Way Public Schools is proud to share our Cultural Appreciation Video Series — a yearlong project that highlights how our scholars see themselves represented in their classrooms, curriculum, and school community. Each month, we feature a new student story tied to a cultural recognition month, uplifting the voices, experiences, and identities that make FWPS a vibrant and diverse district.

These videos celebrate belonging, cultural pride, and academic engagement, reflecting FWPS’s commitment to honoring every scholar’s identity and helping each student feel seen, valued, and supported.

Check back throughout the year as new videos are added, featuring students from across our schools sharing what their heritage means to them and how FWPS helps them thrive.
