Join us at the Olympic View K-8 ribbon cutting celebration!
Wednesday, October 4, 2023
4:30-5:30 p.m.
2626 SW 327th St
Federal Way, WA 98023
We’re excited to invite scholars, staff, families, and the Federal Way community to the ribbon cutting for Olympic View K-8! Olympic View is the seventh of eight schools to be rebuilt under the phase 2 school construction bond and recently opened for the 2023-24 school year serving scholars in grades K-8. Now that the school is complete, we want to celebrate with all the individuals who supported the project and our scholars with an official ribbon cutting and building tours.
RSVP is not required.
Schools are let out 75 minutes early in support of staff professional learning and collaboration time. If you would like to know more about how this time is used to positively impact student learning, please reach out to your school. View Early Release Bell Times here.
SAT for Grade 12 and PSAT for Grades 8-11 will take place on Wed., Oct. 11, 2023. All students in these grade levels will be taking the in-person assessment.
Please note: Starting in fall 2023 and forward, the PSAT will be a digital assessment taken in person in your child’s class. Students will be provided with devices and login instructions. The SAT will be a paper assessment for fall 2023, then become a digital assessment starting spring 2024 and forward. You can learn more about the digital rollout here.
The PSAT helps scholars become more comfortable with the SAT and ACT tests, which are often required for admission to college. These tests also provide opportunities to get financial aid and are offered at no cost to FWPS scholars.
On the test date, students are encouraged to get good rest, eat a balanced breakfast, if possible, and plan to arrive on time.
If you have questions, please contact your child’s school.
