• COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM: Open to full time seniors who plan to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Selection is based on commitment to community, demonstrated leadership, academic achievement, and employment with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of your junior year of high school. • 2023 CHICK EVANS CADDIE SCHOLARSHIPS: This grant is a full tuition college scholarship renewable for up to four years. It can be used at one of twenty-four eligible universities. • WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY (WSU) REGENTS SCHOLARS PROGRAM: If you are currently planning to apply to WSU for the fall of 2023, see Mrs. Novak in the Career Center. Decatur High School can nominate two students for the prestigious Regents Scholars Program. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.6 or higher students who complete the nomination process will receive a four-year award worth a total of $16,000. • VFW VOICE OF DEMOCRACY AUDIO-ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The voice of Democracy Audio Essay scholarship program is open to students in grades 9-12. Students compete by writing and recording a broadcast script on this year’s theme: “What Are the Greatest Attributes of Our Democracy?”. Students compete through their local VFW post with winners at the district, state and national level. The grand prize is $30,000 with additional awards ranging from $1,000 to $16,000 each. • JOHN MONTGOMERY BELK SCHOLARSHIP AT DAVIDSON COLLEGE: By nomination only, this scholarship recognizes academic achievements, personal character and leadership ability. Up to eight students are awarded a renewable annual scholarship. The scholarship is equal to the comprehensive cost of attending Davidson College (currently valued at $58,146) as well as two study stipends (up to $3,000 each) which allows students to travel and pursue other opportunities relating to their college career. • DELL SCHOLARS PROGRAM: The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation created Dell Scholars to recognize and assist an underserved population-students in the academic middle from low-income households who are often among the first in their families to attend college. • 2023 NATIONAL SPACE CLUB AND FOUNDATION KEYNOTE SCHOLAR APPLICATION: This opportunity is open to Seniors with definite plans to pursue a career in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields. • BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY WESTERN UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE (WUE) AND GEM SCHOLARSHIPS: Students from Washington are automatically considered for the WUE or Gem scholarships at Boise State if: They have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and are interested in any of the 190 Boise State Majors open to WUE participants or GEM degree programs. • EPSILON SIGMA ALPHA SCHOLARSHIPS: The Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation is an international leadership organization focused on international leadership and service. • HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This site is the home of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the nation’s largest provider of college financial aid for Latino students. Students can apply to multiple scholarships using this website. Eligible students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, complete the FAFSA (DACA applicants must submit household income information) and be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents with a valid permanent resident card or a passport stamped I-551 (not expired) or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA status at the time of submission of their application. • ACTUARIAL DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP: The Actuarial Diversity Scholarship promotes diversity within the profession through an annual scholarship program for Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American and Pacific Islander students. The scholarship award recognizes and encourages the academic achievements of full-time undergraduate students pursuing a degree that may lead to a career in the actuarial profession.
