Guaranteed Admissions Programs

About FWPS GAP

Federal Way Public Schools is proud to offer eligible seniors guaranteed college admission to seven private and public four-year colleges and universities through FWPS guaranteed admissions partnerships*. These partnerships aim to increase credential completion, eliminate barriers to college acceptance, and streamline the pathway from high school to post-secondary education.

Participating four-year GAP institutions include:

Eligibility Criteria

*Federal Way Public Schools continues to expand guaranteed admissions partnerships with additional regional colleges. New partnerships will be added to this list as they are established. Please note, GAP provides automatic admission only. Scholars and families are still responsible for tuition and other related costs, and need to complete an application to secure admission. Specific programs at the colleges may have additional admission criteria and processes.

What's Next

If eligible for guaranteed admission, expect to receive an admission letter from each college. Each institution's letter will share the next steps for admission, which may include submitting an application, your acceptance of admission, or other items.

While waiting for letters of admission, it is recommended to:

  1. Review the program offerings at each FWPS GAP partner college to determine if their college will be a good fit.
Consider college size, location, available degrees, school culture, and more.

  2. Complete the FAFSA or WASFA financial aid application and apply for available local and national scholarships.
Remember, while eligible students will be automatically admitted to college, they are still responsible for tuition and other related costs. Be sure to apply for financial aid as soon as possible to secure the maximum amount possible.  Learn more about financial aid.

Once students receive of letters of admission, they will need to accept or decline admission to each school by their posted deadline. At most colleges, May 1 is the deadline for all students who plan to attend in the following fall quarter or semester, however, it's important that you double-check the deadline for each school in advance.
