TJHS Graduation 2025 Cap Throwing

Nearly 1,600 student-scholars received diplomas during graduation ceremonies held June 13–15. FWPS also celebrated 26 exiting transition scholars in the Employment and Transition Program. Graduates represented the following schools:

  • Decatur High School
  • Federal Way High School
  • TAF@Saghalie
  • Thomas Jefferson High School
  • Todd Beamer High School
  • Truman Campus – Career Academy at Truman, Federal Way Open Doors, and Internet Academy

In total, graduates earned nearly $11 million in scholarships. Among them, 187 scholars are the first in their families to graduate from high school, and 333 are the first in their families to attend college. Additionally, 169 scholars earned the Seal of Biliteracy, and 396 earned Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs), preparing them for success in college, career, and life.

Graduates were celebrated by principals, board members, staff, and student speakers who shared words of encouragement and pride.

Superintendent Dr. Dani Pfeiffer delivered a heartfelt message focused on courage, compassion, and community. She encouraged scholars to continue creating spaces where everyone feels valued and included, and praised the Class of 2025 for leading with empathy, kindness, and intention.

“Whether you're heading to college, the military, or the workforce, combine the brilliance you possess with the compassion you've shown,” Dr. Pfeiffer said. “If you don’t get an invitation to the table, bring your own chair. And while you’re at it, bring one for someone else too. You are the bright spot in our future.”

At Federal Way Public Schools, we believe each scholar has a unique voice, a dream, and a bright future.
