Families and Community are invited to the Memorial Field Ribbon Cutting, November 13
The brand-new Federal Way Memorial Field is complete! Help us celebrate this exciting moment by attending a ribbon cutting on Monday, November 13, from 4:30-5:30 p.m.!
About the Event:
The event will kick off with an official ribbon-cutting program featuring remarks and a ceremonial first lap led by FWPS cheerleaders.
During the event:
- Receive a commemorative gift
- Tour the stadium and plaza, and view the student-athlete-centered athletic banners
- Speak to the construction and architect teams
The old Memorial Field served our community for over 50 years. Thanks to voters, we are able to bring back this treasure as a new and improved athletic facility that will serve our student-athletes and community for many years to come. The new Memorial Field is truly a “gem” of Federal Way, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at this family-friendly ribbon cutting event!

- Parking
Event parking is available in the western part of Federal Way High School’s parking lot off 14th Ave S, which is easily accessible from S 308th St.
- Event Entrance
Please enter through the Home entrance located off 14th Ave S. The Visitor entrance will be closed for the event.
- Clear Bag Policy
For improved safety, Memorial Field has adopted a Clear Bag Policy. Approved bags include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that are 12”x6”x12” or smaller. This includes one-gallon clear, resealable plastic storage bags. Learn more about exceptions here.
