Congratulations to our FWPS DECA scholars for their outstanding achievements at the Washington DECA State Career Development Conference where they competed against more than 5,800 students, showcased their skills in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship, and qualified for the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida!

For Decatur High School, Micah and Calista brought home the school’s first-ever State Championship in the Financial Literacy Project event. Calista also earned the Visionary Scholarship, while Annie and Timothy advanced in Promotional and Community Service Campaigns.

Todd Beamer High School is sending 11 scholars to Orlando, and Vivian was awarded both the Seattle Finance Collective Scholarship and the Visionary Scholarship for her achievements. 

Thomas Jefferson High School celebrates five ICDC qualifiers, with Soliyana B, Brandon, and Mesrak placing 5th in state. Ngan and Madison will compete in Retail and Storefront events at ICDC.

Congratulations to the Federal Way High School Boys Basketball Team and the Decatur Girls Basketball Team for their achievements in the 2025 WIAA 3A State Basketball Championships!

The Federal Way High School boys' basketball team made an impressive run to Round 12, showcasing exceptional skill and determination. And the Decatur High School girls' basketball team demonstrated outstanding teamwork and perseverance throughout the season.

Congratulations to our FWPS gymnastics scholars for their remarkable achievements at the 2025 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 3A State Gymnastics Championships!

We are proud to announce that 18 scholars from our four comprehensive high schools qualified to compete at the state level, showcasing their dedication and talent.

A special commendation goes to the Thomas Jefferson High School gymnastics team for also earning the WIAA 3A State Academic Championship with a team GPA average of 3.81, demonstrating excellence both in athletics and academics.  This Scholastic Awards program recognizes the team with the highest-grade point average among all Washington high schools in their enrollment classification.
