Principal's Message

  • Principal Michelle Frank - Adelaide Elementary

    Dear Adelaide Families,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year! I hope that the summer months have provided you with some rest, relaxation, and an opportunity to rejuvenate.  Adelaide Elementary School has been a busy place this summer. We had a team of team teachers and two PTA members come in and remodel the Adelaide Library. Our scholars are going to love the new reading space our library will provide them. Once again, several classrooms were painted to give the building a positive face-lift.  We hosted another exciting kindergarten camp, where several new kindergarten students were able to experience school for first time during a week this August. We are now ready for an extraordinary 2017-2018 school year.

Please join me in welcoming our new staff members!

    Mrs. Helen Babbin, Assistant Principal

    Miss Emily Charbonneau, Data-Attendance Secretary

Miss Maria Gulchuk, 1st Grade Teacher

Mrs. Nicole Coraggio, 2nd Grade Teacher

Ms. Juniper Kistner, 3rd Grade Teacher

Mr. Kirk Downing, 3-5 FCP Teacher

    Mrs. Aliscia Morrow, Interventionist

Ms. Oslin, K-3 Literacy Development Teacher

And, yes, Miss Ruth Flores has moved from 1st Grade to 4th Grade

Student success is the goal of every staff member at Adelaide.  The Adelaide Elementary School staff is committed to Increasing Student Achievement, Building Relationships, and Using Effective Instructional Strategies in our classrooms every day. We will continue to implement the new ELA curriculum. All lessons will be Standards Based and all decisions will be based on what is best for all of our students. The teachers and leaders are responsible for setting high expectations and delivering top quality instruction.  I ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school every day, encouraging him/her to read for pleasure at least 30 minutes every night, monitoring homework and progress, and asking your child to share what they learned at school each day.

In closing, I look forward to working with you and your students this 2017-2018 school year. I am confident that we will experience a positive and enriching school year. Please contact the main office at (253) 945-2300 should you need additional assistance.

    In Partnership,

    Michelle L. Frank
