Reading Marathon Challenge 2023
Can you read for 7 days in a row?
-
Daily reading has many benefits, including improving reading comprehension skills, creativity, critical thinking, and more. To encourage this habit, as part of National Reading Month, we're challenging all FWPS scholars to the Reading Marathon Challenge!
How to Participate in 3 Easy Steps:- Scholars must read for 7 days in a row (a week) during the month of March for a set length of time based on grade level:
- Grades PreK-5: 30 minutes
- Grades 6-8: 45 minutes
- Grades 9-12: 1 hour
- Track your progress in the Reading Marathon Challenge reading log.
- Turn in your completed reading log to your school's office by Friday, April 14, 2023 for a prize.
Prizes will be distributed by schools. More information to come.
If you are unable to download and print the reading log, you can pick up a reading log from the main office at your school.
