Getting to STEM Exploration Night
-
STEM Exploration Night will be an action-packed event, and we want to help you get there in the way that is most convenient for you! There are several transportation options available - driving by car, shuttle bus transportation provided by the district, public transportation, and even walking if you're in close proximity. Below, we'll cover these options so you can plan your trip!
Drive and Park
-
Families who drive to Federal Way High School can find parking available in the school parking lot, accessible from 14th Ave off of S 308th St, or from 16th Ave off of S 304th St. There will be directional signage and volunteers on-site to direct traffic.
Overflow Parking Lot
-
Please note that parking will be limited. In the event the parking lot becomes full, families can locate nearby street parking or park in the overflow lot located at Sacajawea Middle School. Shuttle service from Sacajawea to Federal Way High School will be available every 15 minutes to and from the event.
Take a Bus Shuttle
How it Works
-
For transportation convenience, there are six shuttle bus routes running to and from the event, stopping at schools and local apartment complexes. All students, families, and staff are welcome to take advantage of this free service to get to the event and avoid parking challenges.
PreK–8 grade students must ride the bus with a parent or guardian.
High school-age students who do not ride the bus with a parent or guardian are required to fill out a permission slip and bring it when loading the bus. The high school student will receive a card that lists the bus route and the last bus departure time. High school students must ride the same bus to and from the event. Permission slips are available at school sites, or you are welcome to download the form below.
