COVID-19 Data: The chart below displays the number of FWPS scholars and staff who reported testing positive for Covid-19 between February 4, 2023-February 10, 2023. This data reflects cases that were reported by 3 p.m. on February 10, 2023.  

*Students and staff reported within this window may already be back in school based on Washington State DOH and/or our Local Health Jurisdiction (Seattle-King County Public Health) guidance. Some confirmed cases reflect remote students and staff that have not been on site. Cases reported after February 10 at 3 pm are not reflected in the data.

In the event of a positive COVID-19 case, Federal Way Public Schools works directly with Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC). Based on their guidance, any impacted staff, students, and/or families are notified. FWPS works in partnership with PHSKC to identify close contacts and potential close contacts, and those who were in close contact will be required to quarantine according to the latest guidelines.
