We’re excited to announce the opening of the first School Based Health Center (SBHC) in Federal Way Public Schools!
The TAF@Saghalie School Based Health Center opened to students January 2021.
Federal Way Public Schools students at TAF@Saghalie, Decatur High School, Lakota Middle School, and Federal Way High School have access to valuable health care services through the district’s first School Based Health Center (SBHC) at TAF@Saghalie. It’s open during the school year and the summer, too!
Healthcare services are provided by HealthPoint, a community health center that provides high-quality, affordable care at locations throughout King County.
Parents may register their student for a wide range of services such as
- Primary care
- Mental health counseling
- Physical and annual exams
- Sports physicals
- Immunizations
- Injury care
- Medication management and refills
- Nutrition education and counseling
- Specialty referrals
- Diagnostics testing
Payment
Students do not have to pay out of pocket for care. HealthPoint staff can help with applications for insurance or other programs that will cover costs.
