We made it!!! The perseverance of all of our scholars to learn in a challenging world is commendable. We ended strong and were able to celebrate 8th graders moving on to high school, as well as, scholars of the semester. Both those videos are available on Canvas. Report cards will be mailed home next week. We hope you have a safe, fun summer in which you are able to spend time with those you love. Happy Juneteenth!
8th Grade Sequoyah Families!
If you were unable to attend the drive through 8th Grade Celebration, your child's certificate will be mailed home with their final report card.
If you would still like to pick up the gift bag (which includes a t-shirt), you can come to Sequoyah main office between 7:30am-3:00pm until June 30th to pick it up! The gift bags will no longer be available after June 30th. You may call the main office at 253-945-3670 if you have any questions.
As we turn our focus to next year, we have over half of our staff attending summer professional development. We will come back at the end of August as an entire staff to plan our September 1st launch. There will be an orientation event for all grades. We recognize we will have many 7th grade student who have never stepped foot on our campus. What that looks like and when that occurs will be planned after we receive district guidance on safety protocols for the 21-22 school year.
Next year's 7th grade class is required to have documented Tdap vaccination records. Scholars across the district will be excluded without proper documentation.
As always, Principal Joe Rush can be reached at email@example.com for questions or concerns.
