Dear Sacajawea Middle School Families-
We are excited to launch our second year of daily advisory during first period every single day. Advisory gives your scholar the time to think about the school-day ahead and connect with their advisor and peers. This year, we will be using advisory time to build community because we are better together. Being a part of community means celebrating our differences and positive problem-solving. Additionally, we will be working on study strategies, organizational techniques, and goal-setting.
Scholar-led Conferences (SLCs) will be held November 8 and 9. We hope to get 100% attendance! Schedule information will be sent late October. SLCs will be facilitated by your child’s advisor. If you would like to meet with other teachers, please contact the individual teacher directly to set up an appointment via ParentVue. Sacajawea values and appreciates families as active participants in our learning community. You are encouraged to monitor your scholar’s grades, attendance information, and communicate with teachers via ParentVue. You are always welcome to call us, too. Please look for invitations to coffee with the principal that will be scheduled once a month.
Fall sports are well underway! If your scholar is interested in joining an athletic team for Winter I, Winter II, and Spring seasons, please check the website for eligibility requirements. We have moved to 100% online registration.
Thank you for your continued support of Sacajawea Middle School!
GO NIGHTHAWKS!
Sincerely,
Dominique Dennis
Principal
