STEM Exploration Night 2018

-
Save the Date! The second annual STEM Exploration Night is coming up on March 28, 2018! This event for PreK-12 scholars and their families will be held at Todd Beamer High School from 6-8 p.m.
Last year's event was a huge success, with over 3,000 scholars, families, and community members in attendance. This event invited all attendees to experience career pathways in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). More than 80 booths were filled with representatives from local STEM companies and higher education programs, including Boeing, McKinstry, Google, Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center, Hexcel, University of Washington Tacoma and Highline College.
At the upcoming second annual STEM Exploration Night, after-school STEM clubs will return, hosting interactive booths, showing off pieces they've created, and some scholars will showcase Sphero programs they've built.
Brand new this year, scholars will be invited to participate in a live Sphero programming competition. FWPS will also continue to partner with apprenticeship programs, higher education, businesses and others to build our scholars' awareness of post-high school STEM pursuits.
A light meal will be provided, and Spanish, Korean, Russian, Ukrainian, and Somali interpreters will be available.
