FWPS celebrated its early learning community on Feb. 15 with the second Early Learning Convening held at the district’s Educational Service Center. This was an opportunity for professionals and caregivers in early learning to engage, to connect and to create communities of support.

The event drew over 30 early learning community partners including staff from private schools, in-home childcare and pre-school providers, early learning advocates, teachers and district employees. Topics of discussion included developmental benchmarks, an overview of resources, math games and the Washington Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills (WaKIDS).

FWPS hosted an Early Learning Convening which brought together over 50 early learning community partners. Attendees got the opportunity to network with other early learning professionals, create communities of support and build connections with FWPS. Events like these give the community and school district an opportunity to collaborate and ensure our scholars have the skills to be successful in their education.
