Graduation 2017
-
We are proud to share photos from the Federal Way Public Schools high school graduation ceremonies held Saturday, June 17, 2017, when our accomplished student-scholars ascended the stage to receive their diplomas. We celebrated 1,600 scholars from our four comprehensive high schools and three innovative smaller schools as they walked across the graduation stage and embarked on the next chapter of their lives. They represented every comprehensive high school – Federal Way, Thomas Jefferson, Decatur and Todd Beamer – as well as TAF Academy, Internet Academy, Federal Way Open Doors and Truman.
Principals, board directors, staff members, and student speakers shared words of inspiration and advice to class of 2017 graduates. Dr. Tammy Campbell, FWPS superintendent, emphasized that collectively our graduates garnered over $16 million in scholarship monies.
On Monday, June 19, 2017 our Employment and Transition Program scholars graduated. The ETP program provides scholars with intellectual and development disabilities job skills to prepare them for a bright future in the workforce. Thanks to our many businesses and organizations that partner with us to provide valuable work experiences for our ETP scholars.
At Federal Way Public Schools we believe “Each scholar: A voice. A dream. A BRIGHT future.”
