Hello Silver Lake Families,

I'm your proud principal, Kelly Sutton. I'm a proud graduate from Renton High School, after living in Gary, Indiana until I was 16 years old. After high school, I majored in Elementary and Special Education at Western Washington University. I taught middle school English, 3rd-8th grade SPED, and last taught 2nd grade at Lakeland Elementary. I graduated from Central Washington University with my Master's degree in Administration.

Outside of schooling, I LOVE my family. My partner and I have two children over the course of 16 years being together. My son and daughter attend Silver Lake as well because I believe in and love being a part of the Silver Lake family. I am a Federal Way resident, and love that I live a hop, skip, and jump away from our building.

I am so excited to be YOUR principal. I am always willing to hear a scholar, family member, and staff member out so that our team can be responsive to everyone’s needs to the best of our ability and capacity.

We have great things in-store this year, grounding ourselves the theme, "I'm going to PUSH through!" We are ready to accelerate learning and support us all with high expectations.
