Hello Panther Lake families and community,
Thank you for your partnership as we launched into our 2022-2023! It has been a wonderful start of the year and our scholars are putting in some incredible effort already.
This school year will be one committed to transforming your scholar’s learning experience to accelerate their academic opportunities while providing individualized learning supports in ways that meet each scholar’s need. We are accomplishing this through our intentional Scholar Advisory to the Principal Panel sessions and monthly short scholar surveys to learn more about your scholar’s learning experiences at Panther Lake Elementary.
We have expanded our parent partnership opportunities and continue leveraging the voice of our parents in our Family Advisory to the Principal listening sessions. Our Parent-Teacher Association/Organization (PTA/PTO) has also kicked off our family events and is continuing to look for members to continue planning wonderful events that impact our scholars’ experiences here at school. We have so many volunteer opportunities available to our parents and community! If you would like to volunteer or just visit our school and sit with your scholar throughout their day, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office or Family Liaison. Our doors are always open for our families and we love having your presence on campus! Our Panthers get incredibly excited to see new adults and love teaching our volunteers the fun games at recess or sharing a read aloud in class. Throughout the year, we will be sharing exciting new extended learning opportunities for afterschool programs, based on volunteer sign ups. So far, our scholars have shared an interest in Lego Clubs, STEM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Music/Dance, Sports, Cooking, Crafts, and more! If you would like to lead an after-school club, please let us know! We are always looking for creative learning opportunities for our scholars to extend their learning beyond the school day.
As we move through the school year, we will continue sharing all our information and updates via our weekly family newsletter, The Panther Post. If you are not receiving this weekly communication, be sure to let us know. Don’t forget to like our Panther Lake Elementary Facebook and Twitter page for more ways to connect as a school community. Thank you again for your continued partnership this year and we look forward to continuing the momentum we have at Panther Lake and building up our community as a whole- Together!
In partnership, Tabatha Ritch
