Fees & Payments
The registration fee is $500.00 and can either be paid in full at time of registration, or you can take advantage of our payment plan. Three payments - $250.00 due at the time of registration the second payment of $150.00 and the third payment of $100.00, payments are due every 30 days until paid in full. To enroll in the Traffic Safety Driver's Ed program students must be a student of the Federal Way Public Schools. We not longer accept out of district students.
Due to time constraints, payment are modified during summer session. Please call the office #253-945-5731 with any questions regarding making payments during Summer.
All phases of the Traffic Safety Program must be completed prior to any testing taking place. The phases include the classroom portion & behind the wheel (drives). Student will not be able to take the Knowledge test if there is a balance on their account. Payments are due before the last day of the class.
Registration closes the Thursday prior to all classes starting.
Please do not mail class payments, if paying by credit card you can call the Traffic Safety office, you can also pay at your High School's finance office, just tell them you are making a payment for Driver's Ed. You can also visit the Traffic Safety Office, located at Thomas Jefferson High School if you would like to make a payment in person.
New Class Registration Payment:
All new class registration payments must come through the Traffic Safety Office. In order to make a payment for enrollment the office must have the completed registration form. You can e-mail the regsitration form to email@example.com and call in your payment #253-945-5731. You can also visit the Traffic Safety Office, located at Thomas Jefferson High School.
Knowledge & Skills Test Payments
Knowledge & Skills test fee's must be paid prior to the testing taking place.
Accepted methods of payment include Cash, Check, Money order or Visa/Mastercard. Make checks payable to FWPS.
