Nutritious, Easy and Priced Right

  •  Our schools serve breakfast and lunch daily.  School Meals Now Offer:

    • A variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, many of which are sourced locally
    • Whole-grain rich bread, pasta, rice and tortillas
    • Low-fat milk, water and 100-percent fruit and vegetable juices
    • Lower fat, sugar and salt (sodium) options
    • Vegetarian options offered daily

     FWPS participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. We serve healthy meals that provide good nutrition and variety for our scholars.

    For the 2022-23 school year, breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost regardless of free and reduced eligibility status. 

    Special Diet Accommodations

    Nutrition Services works closely with families of scholars who need or request a special diet. This includes special meals prepared for scholars with food allergies or other medical dietary restrictions. Community Eligibility Provision

    Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows meals to be served to all scholars at no cost, regardless of free or reduced status. Schools under CEP status will ask that all families complete a family income survey to ensure school funding. This year, all Federal Way schools are designated to participate in CEP.

  • Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)

    Nutrition Services is once again proud to be participating in the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.  For the 2022-23 school year, only 224 elementary schools in Washington state were chosen to receive the program, and seven of those are here in Federal Way Public Schools!  FFVP is currently offered at:

    Lake Grove, Mark Twain, Mirror Lake, Olympic View, Panther Lake, Sunnycrest, and Wildwood

  • Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) Contact Center

    Stay on top of your child’s P-EBT benefits by signing up for text message alerts at https://www.textpebt.dshs.wa.gov/. For full details and any questions about P-EBT benefits, families can visit dshs.wa.gov/PEBT or call the P-EBT Contact Center at 833-518-0282 between 8 am and 5 pm PT, Monday-Friday (except observed holidays).
