Middle and high school scholars and families:Join us at the Life After High School College and Career Fair on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson High School!
If your college and career plans aren’t set for after high school, come to the in-person annual Life After High School event and connect with FWPS College and Career Readiness staff and post-secondary representatives to explore your options. This event has helped thousands of FWPS scholars identify their next steps post high school graduation.
At the event, you’ll get to:
- Visit various booths featuring 2- and 4-year colleges and universities, military academies, apprenticeships, and technical and trade schools
- Participate in various workshops, including:
- Financial Aid Basics
- Financial Aid Basics in Spanish
- Scholarships for Selective East Coast Colleges
- College Applications and Essays
- MaiaLearning and the High School and Beyond Plan
- NCAA & Playing Sports in College
- Listen to panel discussions, including:
- Historically Black Universities and Colleges (HBCU) Virtual Panel
- Apprenticeship Panel
- Complete the FAFSA or WAFSA application during the open lab where students and family can receive on-the-spot support
