Why is graduation on a weekday evening?
While we worked to keep as close to our typical schedule as possible, you will notice the graduation celebrations for our comprehensive high schools are broken up across two weekday evenings, rather than holding all celebrations on one weekend day.
ShoWare Center will be hosting a large event June 9, 10, and 11 and does not have availability for any high school graduations on those dates. However, because we reached out early, we were able to secure the closest weekday evenings, knowing this would be the next best time for our families to attend.
We are looking forward to hosting our graduation ceremonies at the brand-new Memorial Field in the future once construction is complete.
