Welcome back to the 2022-23 school year! I am so excited to begin my fourth year as the principal of Wildwood! The last couple of years have been extremely challenging for our families and community members; hopefully, this year we can return to a sense of normalcy. We look forward to creating a stronger sense of community, strengthening our scholar’s literacy and numeracy skills, increasing the amount of family events, and collaborating with all stakeholders to enhance the joy of attending Wildwood Elementary School!
To support our scholars in building a strong Wildwood community, we will continue to use our PAWS expectations – Problem Solve, Aim to Make Good Decisions, Work Together, and Show Respect. Scholars can earn PAWS rewards to spend at the PAWS store ran by Mr. Q, our Dean of Students. We will be spending time the first couple of weeks of school re-teaching these expectations and would appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these problem solving skills with your scholar .
Lastly, I am very happy to welcome our visitors and volunteers to be a part of their scholar's education. There are many opportunities available to support at PTA family events, in the classroom and at recess and lunch. Our Family Liaison, Greta Holtz, is available to assist you in finding opportunities that fit with your talents and busy schedules.
Thank you for sharing your child with us! We look forward to an amazing year!
