STEM Exploration Night Draws 3,600+ in Attendance
On Thursday, March 14, Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) hosted the seventh annual STEM Exploration Night, attracting a record-breaking crowd of over 3,600. Scholars and families enjoyed STEM booths and special attractions including workshops, demonstrations, and more.

We do this by providing challenging curricular programs that foster inquiring, knowledgeable, internationally-minded, and caring young people who actively strive to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect.
WHAT WE OFFER
CTE PROGRAMS
FWPS offers Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses at select middle schools and all four comprehensive high schools. CTE courses enable scholars in grades 6-12 to explore various fields of interest, connect their learning with the real-world, and gain important skills necessary for life after high school and future careers.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALEAUREATE (IB) PROGRAMME
Thomas Jefferson High School has been an authorized IB Diploma school continuously since 1999. TJ received authorization in the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) in August 2013.
CLUBS & ACTIVITIES
TJ offers clubs and activities, in support of Goal 3 of the FWPS strategic plan, like Speech and Debate, Robotics, Latino Student Union, Art Club, and more.
FAMILY PARTNERSHIPS
TJ partners with the Raider Parent Movement, a non-profit organization that exists to build an effective partnership with Thomas Jefferson High School families, staff members, students, and alumni to advance the well being of the school and the community it serves.
