STEM Exploration Night Draws 3,600+ in Attendance
On Thursday, March 14, Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) hosted the seventh annual STEM Exploration Night, attracting a record-breaking crowd of over 3,600. Scholars and families enjoyed STEM booths and special attractions including workshops, demonstrations, and more.

At Silver Lake we believe in building a strong community by ensuring that ALL are welcome and by instilling following the Positive Behavior Intervention System. Every day we come to school to learn. We do that by: Showing Respect, Making Good Decisions, and Solving Problems. Silver Lake takes pride in providing exciting and rigorous core instruction through Standard Based Learning. We place our priority on growing our scholars academically and socially.

For the 2023-24 school year and beyond, all FWPS kindergarteners will visit a college campus as part of a new initiative to expand K-12 college and career readiness.

April is Arab American Heritage Month, a time our district and schools celebrate the Arab American heritage and culture and pay tribute to the contributions of Arab and Arabic-speaking Americans.
