What is Special About Our School?
Nautilus is about teamwork! Students, staff and parents all work together to prepare students for a prosperous future. Staff and parents challenge students to adopt good study habits, do their best the first time, and become lifelong learners enriching both themselves and those around them.
Students are also very involved in the everyday operations of the school. They tutor other students, handle recycling, read announcements, lead the flag salute, assist in the lunchroom, and work as safety patrols.
Nautilus staff members are dedicated professionals, committed to providing the highest quality education for their students. The staff meets regularly to coordinate curriculum, plan projects, and share resources. The entire school celebrates the high standards and expectations that students meet every day.
Parents are vital in contributing to student success at Nautilus. It is common to see parent volunteers assisting in the classroom, helping to prepare materials, or reading with a child. Nautilus’ parents are true partners in the education of their children.
This school is based on continuing academic achievement and personal growth. Besides an emphasis on reading, writing, math, social studies, science, music, and physical education, Nautilus values other areas of enrichment as well. This includes the PTA-sponsored Read & Lead Program, elementary track, the Science Fair, and Spring Carnival. All these events are well supported and attended by children, staff, parents, and the community, which furthers the success, pride, and recognition of Nautilus students.No Child Left Behind Report Card

Nautilus’s funds are used to enhance student curriculum and student programs. Most of the money is used for teaching supplies, materials, equipment, and photocopying for student lessons. ASB funds go for curricular and self-esteem assemblies, field trips and incentive awards.
