Star Lake Elementary Celebrates 50th Year of Operation
Originally built in 1958, Star Lake Elementary is turning 50 years old this year. The school’s staff will hold a celebration and open house on Thursday, October 9th, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Located at 4014 S. 270th Street Kent, Star Lake is one of the Federal Way school district’s northernmost schools. Photos and clippings about the school will be available for visitors to view, courtesy of the Federal Way Historical Society. A time line with events from the past five decades will also be on display.
