Monitoring Instruction in Basic Skills and Work Skills - 2111
Basic skill courses include language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, music, art, health and physical education. Work skills include industrial arts, home and family life, business and office, distributive education, agricultural education, health occupations education, vocational education, trade and industrial education, technical education, and career education. In order to ensure compliance with basic skills, work skills, and course requirements of WAC 180-16-200 , the superintendent/designee shall implement procedures for verifying compliance at the outset of each school year as well as monitoring continuing compliance throughout the year.
Hours of instruction for all grade levels will be examined annually for compliance.
