Technology at Work in Our Schools

Posted: January 13, 2010

"Technology" is a lot more than computers. If you haven't been in one of our schools lately, here's your opportunity to see and hear how technology is being used today, and the impact staff are seeing on our students.

Silver Lake Principal Michael Swartz talks about using "Multi-Media Carts" and how they're used in the classroom.   Instructional Coach Jennifer Raymond talks about recent improvements to technology instruction integration.   Instructional Technology Specialist Hannah Penna demonstrates the Promethean ActivSlate.

Saghalie Middle School Principal Damon Hunter shares his views on technology in the classroom.   An Adelaide student moves "virtual" objects during a math lesson using a Promethean ActivBoard.   Alexa Zarelli, a Woodmont Elementary teacher, shares her use of AlphaSmart Neo2s in the classroom.

Want to know more about the technologies and systems you see in this video? Here's a quick guide to a variety of devices and systems we've piloted in our schools to engage students and help them develop skills they'll need in the workforce of today and tomorrow.
