Ed Barney was elected to the Board in November, 2001. Ed and his wife, Barbara, have lived in Federal Way since 1983 and have five children; all of whom graduated from Decatur High School. Along with his activity in PTA and Boy Scouts, he has been an active attendee at School Board meetings since 1985. He brings a parent's perspective and experience to the board. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Brigham Young University, with a minor in Business/Accounting. He works as a Job Coach/Trainer in Federal Way and owns a promotional products business. Ed also serves on the Board of Directors of KCDA, a purchasing co-op for school districts.
