Mr. Andrew’s class from Mirror Lake won the Dr. Seuss “Name That Menu” contest! Their menu will be served on March 2.
Parents and guardians now have another option for applying for free and reduced lunch in Federal Way Public Schools. It’s called MEAL APP NOW, and it’s a program that lets parents apply for free and reduced-price school meals via the Internet. Applying online is the fastest way to get your application approved.
If you don’t have Internet access or prefer to fill out the paper form, no worries — you can still do that. The paper form will be available at the beginning of the school year just as it always has been.
Filling out the form online has its advantages. Applying online is the quickest way to get your application approved. After you click “submit,” the district can review and process your application within a few days. Paper forms can take up to 10 days to process.
The system is extremely secure and all your information remains private. It is only used for the meal application process.
To apply online, you’ll need to create an account. When you do this, you will be asked for your student’s full name and birthdate.
To fill out the form go to the MEAL APP NOW and follow the instructions. This website also has more information and instructions on using the features of MEAL APP NOW. We think you’ll agree that it’s an efficient and convenient service.
