Preschool Programs

The Federal Way School District has preschool programs in 9 elementary schools throughout the district for children three and four years old.   All of our preschool programs include students with special needs and tuition paying students.  The preschool classes are taught by Washington state certified teachers and each classroom has at least one para educator assistant.

Tuition is $190 a month.  There is also a $25 registration fee.

  • Preschool is Monday through Thursday, and we generally follow the Federal Way School District calendar.  A couple Friday's of each month are reserved for family field trips and playgroups.
  • There are AM and PM sessions available.  Each session is 2 hours and 45 minutes long.
  • Parents self transport their child to and from the elementary school.

When you register at the school you will need to show original proof of birth such as a birth certificate or passport.   You will also need to fill out an Immunization form, along with an emergency contact form.

Four of our schools have class sizes of 16 students per session.  The intent of these classes is 10 tuition students and 6 students with special needs.  These schools are:

  • Brigadoon (253) 945-2400
  • Enterprise (253) 945-2600
  • Meredith Hill (253) 945-3200
  • Wildwood (253) 945-4400

Five of our schools have class sizes of 10 or 11 students per session.  The class is designed to include 2 to 3 tuition students and 8 students with special needs.   These schools are:

  • Camelot  (253) 945-2500
  • Lake Dolloff (253) 945-2800
  • Rainier View (253) 945-3700
  • Twin Lakes (253) 945-4200
  • Wildwood (253) 945-4400

Our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at Lakeland Elementary also has openings for tuition students in their AM session.  Their number is 945-3000.

Our district also provides Head Start and ECEAP preschool programs available to families that meet the income eligibility requirements.  For more information about Head Start and ECEAP, please call 945-2379.
