Cultural Cuisine

Cultural Cuisine is a catering service that will serve a meal in your classroom, custom made to the teachers specific instructions.

We need: One or more classroom(s) of students. Please order one week in advance.

What we serve: This is teachers choice...custom made for their experience. Our food is sent to the classroom for service family style. We include plates, eating and serving utensils. We do not use the prepackaged meals for this event.

Our capacity: We can serve one classroom/group of classrooms per day (such as 3 or 4 classrooms or a grade level in an elementary school). This is not a full school event.

How do we pay for it?: We ask that the children and adults of the classroom purchase lunch that day. We do not charge any additional costs. The Kitchen Manager at your school will be collecting money and lunch tickets for the event the day before it is served.

Create Your Own Menu: You are welcome to make your own menu, the only requirements are that it be cost effective and that it meet the USDA guidelines for child nutrition. Our lunch must offer 2 bread or bread equivalent servings, 2 oz.serving of meat or meat equivalent, 3/4 cup fruit and vegetables and a milk.

Brazilian- Chicken and Rice, Peas and Carrots, Tropical Fruit Salad, Coconut Pudding, Milk.

Greek: Gyros with Pita Bread and Sauce, Spinach Salad, Grapes, Lemon Bars, Milk.

Hawaiian: Waikiki Meatballs, Rice, Tropical Fruit Salad, Broccoli and Sesame Seeds, Icey, Milk

Japanese: Teriyaki Chicken, Rice, Mandarin Oranges, Veggie Sticks, Fortune Cookies, Milk.

Kenya: Chicken Curry, Coconut Rice, Fresh Fruit Salad with Bananas, Milk.

Medieval: Stew, Loaves of Bread, Butter, Salad, Apples, Snickerdoodle Cookies, Milk.

Math Lunch: Pepperoni, Hawaiian and Cheese Pizza cut in the fraction you desire, Orange and Apple Quarters, Peas and Carrots, Icey or Dixie Cup Ice Cream.

Mexican: Tacos (Hard or Soft Shell), Taco Meat, Spanish Rice, Refried Beans, Grated Cheese, Shredded Lettuce, Diced Tomatoes, Salsa, Fruit, Churros, Milk.

Native American: Breaded Fish, Choice of Potato, Green Salad, Rolls, Fruit Crisp, Tartar Sauce, Milk.

India: Curried Chicken, Indian Rice, Fruit Salad, Pita Bread, Coconut Pudding with Raisins & Nuts, Milk.

Egypt: Sliced Roast Beef, Bread with Honey Butter, Salad with Chick Peas Peas and Cucumbers, with Honey Mustard Dressing, Fruit ( Melon & Grapes if in season, Cake, Milk.

French: Roast Beef with Rosemary, Sliced Potatoes, Spinach Salad with French Dressing, French Bread, Fresh Fruit and Cheese, Milk.

African: Beef Stew, Vegetable Stew, Maze & Beans, Corn & Kidney Beans, Tropical Fruit Salad, Chaptis, Milk.

Pioneer: Buffalo Stew, Corn on the Cob, Apple Pie, Cornbread, Milk.

Valentine Lunch: Heart Shaped Pizza, Red Apples, Carrot Sticks and Dip, Heart Shaped Cookies, Milk.

Roman: Turkey Slices, Green Beans with Coriander, Cumin & Chopped Green Onion, Bread with Honey & Butter, Fruit (melon when in season), Custard & Honey, Milk.

Chinese: Chicken Chow Mien, Fried Rice, Rolls, Oranges, Fortune Cookies, Milk.

Teddy Bear Lunch: Teddy Bear Shaped Pizza, Fruited Jello with Gummy Bears, Tossed Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing, Teddy Grahams, Milk.

Taste Washington: Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Apple Crisp, Corn, Roll and Butter, Milk.

Bats: Pepperoni Pizza with Bat Shape in Center. Fruit Salad, Celery & Carrot Sticks with Dip, Cake with Black Frosting, Milk.

Baseball Lunch: Hot Dogs with Buns, Mustard & Catsup, Baked Beans, Fruit, Cracker Jacks, Milk.

Ancient Greece: Sliced Turkey, Tossed Salad with Cucumbers, Chick Peas, Peas and Red Onion with Honey Mustard Dressing, Bread, Honey Butter, Cake with Cinnamon & Raisins, Milk.

Ocean Lunch: Sea Creatures (fish shaped fish sticks), Tartar Sauce, Tossed Salad with Ranch Dressing, Fruit, Blue Jello with Gummy Fish, Milk.

Italian: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce or Lasagna, Tossed Salad with Italian Dressing, Garlic Bread, Fruit (grapes when in season), Italian Ice, Milk.

Pizza Lunch: Assorted 12" Pizzas (Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Cheese) Tossed Salad with Ranch Dressing, Fruit, Cookie, Milk.

Picnic Lunch: Cold Fried Chicken, Potato Salad, Fruit (watermelon when in season), Rolls, Cookie, Milk.

Scandinavian: Swedish Meatballs, Noodles, Scandinavian Vegetables, Fruit Pastry, Milk.

Whale Lunch: Baked Potato, Whale Creation Items -Cheese Slices (flippers & flukes), Sliced Olives (eyes and blowhole), Small Pieces Broccoli (spouts of air), - Butter, Sour Cream, Taco Meat, Ice Burg Lettuce with Ranch Dressing, Fruit, Ice Cream, Milk.
